Cinco de Mayo at the New Mexicantown International Welcome Center & Mercado

Mexicantown Community Development Corporation’s (MCDC) major development project, the Mexicantown International Welcome Center and Mercado is now a reality, a permanent venue for economic and cultural development. The Center & Mercado will greet more than 1 million tourists annually crossing from Canada into the United States. This $17 million new facility allows local merchants to highlight Mexican culture and sell imported and handcrafted merchandise to regional shoppers and residents.

This year, visitors will be able to take part in the memorable 5 de Mayo Annual Festival, Friday May 4 – Sunday May 6, where families will be offered the opportunity to participate in various activities for all ages, among them:

- Business Fair at the Mercado. Open to all individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit that want to open their own store at this new exciting venue, includes the participation of numerous financial institutions, universities and business service organizations;

- Cultural & Educational Day. Learn about the Battle of Puebla/5 de Mayo and savor the authentic flavors of Mexico;

- Workshop: Unique Leasing Opportunities Available for Office Space;

- Official Presentation of the New Mexicantown International Welcome Center & Mercado.
