Placita de las Familias, a special place for families!

We’re continually developing projects for the beautification of our community. This year we created a special opportunity to highlight Mexicantown’s many supporters. At the same time, we’re providing a quiet oasis in the midst of what will soon be an area bustling with activity and excitement.

Located directly across from the new Mexicantown International Welcome Center and Mercado, the Placita de las Familias or, special place for families, will be landscaped with a park bench and lovely greenery. Visitors and residents can relax and take a moment to observe the mark left by those who have helped to build and nurture this thriving community.

We’re offering the opportunity for people to purchase special brick pavers in order to leave a legacy for their families and loved ones. The engraved pavers will tell visitors about the contributions that the residents and businesses have made to make this community flourish.
