Enthusiasm grows as we prepare for the full operation of the Mexicantown

International Welcome Center and Mercado. The dream is finally a reality!

Both buildings have been completed: we are accepting lease applications for small businesses at the Mercado. The DTE Energy Customer Service Center has opened at the International Welcome Center, and MDOT will soon start building out its space in the same building.

As well, MCDC continues to be the lead partner in the Mexicantown Hubbard Communities (MHC) Commercial District Program. Through the City of Detroit's Office of Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization Office (ONCR), we are able to offer local merchants and commercial property owners tools and information to compete successfully in today's marketplace.
